Casting a bubble of calm
In book 7 of a very popular wizarding series, each time the main trio changes locations: one of them casts protective spells around their new location. The group does not want to be found, so this particularly adept wizard casts spells to make their camp invisible to passerby, dampen any noise they make, and a few other clever shield spells for added protection.
The act of casting protection spells, and the resulting visual of a giant transparent bubble around the campsite has been inspiring lately. Its presence allows the group to strategize and search for specific artifacts, successfully.
I've recently created a new purpose for this bubble visualization, and now use it to protect my mental and emotional state during the workday. This brilliant bubble gives me space, and peace, to do actual good work. It is working.
The concept of calm work days feels like an act of resistance at this point.
